Scott has nearly 30 years of construction experience and oversees the daily operations of the company.
After working as a laborer and carpenter with several small construction firms, Dawes started his professional career in 1980 with Dallas-based HCB Contractors as a field engineer, working his way to project superintendent over a 10-year history. He excelled in construction management, procurement, scheduling, safety, training and subcontractor relations. He then spent three years with Los Angeles-based Obayashi America Corporation before moving to Las Vegas to head up the design coordination and construction of the Stratosphere Tower, the tallest freestanding observation structure in the United States. After completing the Stratosphere project in 1996, Dawes founded his first company in Las Vegas, The Dawes Corporation, quickly taking it national. In 2005 he purchased All Steel Building Company in Oklahoma with the intent to expand its already successful operations. Both firms maintain offices in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Dawes has become a well recognized solutions provider on difficult projects and is routinely called upon for consultation on complex project deliveries. High profile projects that he has successfully built from start to finish include:
